內容大綱

This case is adapted from the real situations faced by the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry. The purpose of this case is to improve students' management capabilities through the following ways. First, to introduce the rapidly changing environment, the typical management process, and the project team system used by the EMS industry. Second, to deepen students' understanding of the following concepts through the case discussion: organizational design, material procurement, performance evaluation, human resources management (placement, training, rotation), and strategic positioning. Finally, to discuss the potential solutions to managers at different organizational hierarchies can implement.

學習目標

Objective 1: Understand the possible reasons behind the project team's failure to analyze potential causal relationships between the management processes and the company's strategic positioning.
Objective 2: Analyze and discuss in the matrix organization, what are the potential management practices and problem-solving methods used by the project team leaders and managers at all levels involved in the process.
